Since 1993, VCPEA has been a leader in promoting awareness, training, and advocacy on behalf of Virginia's abused, neglected, or exploited adults.
Forums and Emailings - Educational forums during the year provide additional opportunities for professional training. Members receive notice of these meetings as well as emails containing information about abuse and neglect issues in Virginia and around the nation.
Public Awareness VCPEA collaborates with the Virginia Department of Social Services and other agencies to develop education materials about adult abuse, neglect or exploitation. The information is available for downloading and distribution each May during Adult Abuse Prevention Month.
