UPDATES

Due to COVID-19 and the uncertainty of the next several months, the VCPEA Conference Committee has worked with Kingsmill, our speakers, and our sponsors to review the possibility of rescheduling the VCPEA Conference that was to be held in August 2021. We felt a shift was critical to the success of the conference and well-being of those attending and have made the decision to reschedule the 26th Annual VCPEA Conference to May 25-27, 2022. It was a difficult decision to reschedule, but we want to ensure that folks feel safe in attending our event.

We have confirmed that both our opening and closing speakers would be available for the new dates in 2022.  We will attempt to keep the rest of the agenda the same.

Individuals who have already registered and want to stay registered can participate in 2022 at the same General Conference Rate of $350 DO NOT have to re-register; your original ticket will be honored.

Should you find yourself unable to make the May 2022 dates, you may request a refund by going to your order on the Tickets page in Eventbrite and choose “Request a Refund.”  Fill out the form and select “Continue;” review your request and hit “Submit Refund Request.” Wait up to seven business days for your refund to be issued.  We need to use “COVID-19” as the cancellation reason in order not to incur fees from Eventbrite.  If you paid by check and wish to receive a refund, please contact Joyce Martin at joyce.martin8487@gmail.com.

If you have made room reservations with Kingsmill for the August 2021 dates, please call them as soon as possible to cancel your room at 800-832-5665 so you won't be charged.  The new date for reserving rooms at a reduced rate will be announced at a later date.  We will use the prevailing government room rate as published in Federal guidelines.  Stay tuned for additional information on reserving your hotel room!

Scholarship recipients chosen for this year will still be able to use their scholarship benefits at the May 2022 conference.  If you are a scholarship recipient, and know you cannot attend in May, please contact Courtney O'Hara at cdohara@vcu.edu.

Thank you again for your support and interest in the VCPEA conference. The conference committee will share updates as we move forward.  Please check our website for more information as it becomes available.
