Registration:

This highly rated annual event − Virginia’s only conference that focuses solely on the prevention of elder abuse ─ draws individuals from multiple professions, including adult protective services (APS) staff, area agencies on aging, attorneys, domestic violence and sexual assault program staff, fire and rescue services personnel, law enforcement, long-term care ombudsmen, long-term care providers, medical professionals, mental health professionals, social workers, victim witness advocates, and other interested persons.

Conference registration will open on Eventbrite on January 20, 2025. Early Bird (reduced price) registrations will be from January 20 through February 21.

Early Bird Rate: $400

General Registration: $450

A limited number of conference scholarships will be available. Please note, if you have applied for a scholarship do not register for the conference until you receive notice about your application.

PAYMENT POLICY REGARDING REQUEST FOR INVOICE: If you request an invoice and wish to receive the "early bird" rate, we must receive payment before the end of the "early bird" pricing period, which is February 21, 2025. Again, payment must be received on or before 2/21/25. If payment is not received on or before that date, your order will be canceled and you will have to re-register for the general admission price.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Cancellations must be received by VCPEA in writing prior to April 15, 2025. If received before 4/15/25, you will be offered a registration credit to attend the 2026 VCPEA Conference or a refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee. Substitutes are allowed at any time. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations that are made on or after  April 15, 2025.

Lodging & Meals:

Conference attendees will be able to secure the prevailing government per diem rate at the Newport News Marriott at City Center for the dates of May 13, 14, and 15th. Upon registration, attendees will receive a link to secure their hotel room.

Conference registration includes breakfast and lunch on Thursday, May 15th and breakfast on Friday, May 16th.
